Slip sliding away....
Went to the store today with TBG. Thought I'd give him a hand hanging some drywall. During break time, I tested out the new laminate floor!

Holidays Rock!
Geez, I'm exhausted....are you? So many presents to open, so many people to visit, so many friends to run around with! It's been fantastic.
Seriously, a card that plays music? Who knew? I was fascinated.
Here I am opening one of my favorite gifts!
Winslow and I had to guard the White Elephant gifts to make sure the humans didn't pick them up and rattle them. And they say we pups have problems with impulse control!

Then came the Boxing Party! Here we are having a rumpus outside. There were ten of us pups in attendance altogether!
You can watch us live and in concert here! Li'l Bit = Gabe.

No, Gabe wasn't one of the White Elephant gifts, but I think De was trying anyway!
All in all, we had a great time over the holidays.
On another note, and I can't say why just yet...but those of you who are not far from Council Grove, KS....please tentatively reserve Saturday, February 23 and consider coming to visit our town. I hear there might be a major event that day. I'm afraid to say more in case my blogging access is removed by you-know-who!

Checking out the new digs!
Can't give you all the details, but TBG was working in town today and I got to go help. I saw my new buddy again today as well.
There's just something about Brad where we get along really well! I think I'm going to like hanging around the store. Pay no attention to the "Cujo" eyes!

Who knew a book store could be soooo much fun!
We made a trip to Kansas City yesterday to meet up with fellow VPR Auntie Linder and chapter volunteer Pam to do some Christmas gift wrapping at the Barnes & Noble book store in Leawood.
We arrived and got our wrapping area set up.
We arrived and got our wrapping area set up.
I was a very successful gift wrapping recruiter! I think Auntie Linder and Pam's fingers were going to fall off. As a thank you to all of the store patrons, I was ready and willing to offer my soft fur and beaming personality to all takers!
This lucky gentleman got to experience the full Carver!! We are now best buddies. I do apologize for leaving you with so much of my yellow strands of goodness ;^)
Here are some other new friends. I think they liked me too!
and then a little person stopped by. They always have different scents than the big people. And, they're soft and cuddly just like me.
Here I am posing....Oh, I know it!
I sure hope to one day be on this board!!
Just before we "wrapped" up our shift (Tonight show here I come), I thought I'd give some special Christmas cheer to our 2 top notch gift wrappers.
What a great time we had at the book store! I lost track of how many people we talked to. Thanks to all of the great people at Barnes & Noble and to all the customers that stopped by to chat and get some top notch gift wrapping.
On our way home, we stopped by to see some old/new friends. Jenny, Wendi and Eric. We had some fun and Jenny gave me a new Christmas toy!
Once we got home last night, TBG let me play with my new toy until I finally fell asleep.
I actually slept in this morning and didn't bother waking TBG until 7:30am!
Thanks Jenny for my new toy and I hope you get lots of fun gifts for Christmas!

Carver's First Snow!
We finally had some measurable snow! Something Carver had not had since he arrived in Kansas. We decided to introduce him to snow in the most fun way...we went out with, you guessed it...a TENNIS BALL!! Here are a few pics of the fun we had this afternoon.
Snow will really wear out a puppy!
We tasted the pure white snow!
and to finish the little guy off for the day, we had him do some really long sprints.
Wait for it.....wait for it.....no really, he's coming.....
Snow will really wear out a puppy!

What a weekend!
Had a great weekend, went for some long walks and met some new and old friends.
Saturday we went for a long walk and I helped Deb clean the house. Since it was mostly my fur laying everywhere, I thought I could help. I put some socks on and slid around the floor to gather up my lost coat! I don't think I'm very fond of this "cleaning" thing.
Sunday we went to the CG Healthcare Center and I got to see my peeps! "Red" and I spent some quality "me" time and then I went person to person, spreading some Christmas cheer. There were smiles and laughter all around.

I was pretty tired after all that petting! Thankfully, I found out we were going to Manhattan, so I knew I had some shuteye coming.
We got to the Mall around lunchtime, so you can imagine how busy it was. Lots of people to meet and even more kids than normal! The big guy in red was there to meet all the kids. I tried to get TBG to let me meet Santa again, but he said we were there to work....he's such a taskmaster.
Anyway, we worked on up, jump and under on lots of new benches and walls.
Came across this big guy and thought I'd "stand in" with him for awhile.
I stopped in at Victoria's Secret and interviewed for their mascot. Although everyone loved me, they said there were no openings. Darn it!
As we walked by a jewelry store, I caught the eye of the women working there and had a nice conversation with them. I tried to get TBG a deal on some sparkly things for SWMBO, but he was not interested...scrooge.
As we were heading out of the mall, I met this little person. It was very nice of the humans to let me get up close so I could spread some Christmas cheer!
We headed back to the sticks and I spent the rest of the day recharging the batteries. Working all day can really tire a pup out.

Meet TLG!
Gabe was a little camera-shy at first. Or, he was sleeping. Not sure...
But my exceptionally wriggly personality was able to coax him out of his "shell". Or, he was groggy. Not sure...
Then TBG couldn't resist the puppy breath.
Only it seems Gabe and TBG have found something in the kitchen that looks pretty interesting. Oh yea: lunch!
Hey TBG, Gabe says go get your own kibble!
Thanks to the Aunties, TBG is in no danger of starving! I guess that's called "lasagna kibble!"
After a nap and a full belly, Gabe was ready to rock-n-roll.
Help TBG! The FTWRT is after me! Get me outta here! (That's Flying-Terror-With-Razor-Teeth). Yes, Auntie Linder, I think me and Leitner visiting Santa (without the FTWRT) sounds like a GREAT idea!

Trip to Emporia
We loaded up the blue bomb this weekend and spent the afternoon in Emporia checking out the sights and sounds of a busy downtown!
Check out these cool fish.
Are you kidding me?? TBG practically had to beat me down from nabbing those giant bones!

We came across a book store that was to my liking.
TBG saw this giant stuffed...well, not sure what it was, but I was not bothered by it!
We worked on some new skills. Walking under flags, Lots of "catwalks" and some curly cue metal pipe thingies. Kinda reminded me of the weave poles from the agility work I've done!
