Easter Celebration!

It was odd...SWMBO came home at 1pm today, singing of all things. Something about "Vacation, all I ever wanted..." I think she was channeling her inner Go-Go [WARNING: This WILL get stuck in your head!] OK, OK, I'll get back to the story.

SWMBO, like I said, came into the house, yes, singing, donned her CCI shirt, gathered up me and all of my paraphanelia, and we drove into town, heading for the Council Grove Health Care Center. Yes, it obviously wasn't Sunday (that was the phrase of the day today, "Hey Deb, it isn't Sunday!").

However, some of my buds from Kansas City were also coming to the Health Care Center at 2pm. One of the Chapter volunteers had arranged for an activity to take place there at 2pm. This volunteer is a rather special lady, and does special things, but doesn't like the limelight. So, I am not going to go into detail about what she did and how she did it, because I am not sure she would want me to...you'll just have to use your imagination to fill in some of the details.

One special lady doing her thing.

That said, me and some of my buds got to meet lots of the residents at the Health Care Center, and lots of staff, and even some folks who happened to be visiting at the time. We heard loud beeping noises, sat next to wheelchairs and walkers, maneuvered past oxygen tubing, and basically were able to participate in an Easter Celebration. All of us PITs did great, if I do say so myself. I know SWMBO was so excited when I executed a perfect "heel" in the middle of the chaos that she started singing again..."Celebrate good times, come on!"

Here's Me and Clark. Although SWMBO kept calling him Orella for some reason...

Here's Marty and Orella.

Of course, the humans couldn't pass up a chance to EAT, so we ended up at the Mexican restaurant. It was great to lay out and relax for a little while after all of that excitement!

And here, just because...are super cute pictures of Little Debbie!

Her very first lap!

What CAN she be thinking?
